Liquid paraffin, also known as paraffinum liquidum, paraffin oil, liquid paraffin oil or Russian mineral oil, is a very highly refined mineral oil used in cosmetics and medicine. Cosmetic or medicinal liquid paraffin should not be confused with the paraffin (i.e. kerosene) used as a fuel. The generic sense of paraffin meaning alkane led to regional differences for the meanings of both paraffin and paraffin oil. It is a transparent, colorless, nearly odorless, and oily liquid that is composed of saturated hydrocarbons derived from petroleum.

The term paraffinum perliquidum is sometimes used to denote light liquid paraffin, while the term paraffinum subliquidum is sometimes used to denote a thicker mineral oil.

Sorbitol is a type of carbohydrate called a sugar alcohol, or polyol. Sorbitol contains about one-third fewer calories than sugar and is 60 percent as sweet. Sorbitol occurs naturally in a variety of berries and fruits (e.g., apples and blackberries)

What is Aromatic Solvent C9?

Aromatic hydrocarbons are a series of organic molecules that form flat ring-shaped bonds.  Aromatic hydrocarbon C9/C10/C12 resins are conventionally named because they are defined by the number of carbon monomers in the chemical.  Aromatic hydrocarbons have a distinctive aromatic odour and a typical Gardner colour of 6 – 10 (dark yellow to dark brown).  They are insoluble in water, low alcohols and ketones, however are soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbon solvents.

Toluene (/ˈtɒl.juiːn/), also known as toluol (/ˈtɒl.ju.ɒl, -ɔːl, -oʊl/), is a substituted aromatic hydrocarbon^[ with the chemical formula C6H5CH3, often abbreviated as PhCH3, where Ph stands for phenyl group. It is a colorless, water-insoluble liquid with the odor associated with paint thinners. It is a mono-substituted benzene derivative, consisting of a methyl group (CH₃) attached to a phenyl group by a single bond. As such, its systematic IUPAC name is methylbenzene. Toluene is predominantly used as an industrial feedstock and a solvent.

As the solvent in some types of paint thinner, permanent markers, contact cement and certain types of glue, toluene is sometimes used as a recreational inhalant^[16] and has the potential of causing severe neurological harm.

Isopropyl alcohol (IUPAC name propan-2-ol and also called isopropanol or 2-propanol) is a colorless, flammable organic compound (chemical formula CH3CHOHCH3) with a strong alcoholic odor.^[9] As an isopropyl group linked to a hydroxyl group, it is the simplest example of a secondary alcohol, where the alcohol carbon atom is attached to two other carbon atoms. It is a structural isomer of propan-1-ol and ethyl methyl ether.
